OUR MEDIA GEAR
We love capturing memories of our adventures, it means we can share these memories, experiences and adventures with the world. Our aim of all this is to promote travel within Australia, to the unique destinations of our beautiful country.

Here we’ll run you through the gear we use to capture media content that allows us to create content and share content with you.

Photos

Sony A7C Mirrorless DSLR
iPhone 14 Pro
DJI Mavic Air 2S Drone
We use a combination of our Sony A7C and iPhone's to capture photos. The technology of phones have come a long way and can take some seriously good photos. We shoot everything in RAW giving us total control for editing later.
We use a couple of different apps to edit our photos however we try not to ‘do too much’ to them. We want to highlight the natural beauty of the locations we visit and not hide or advertise falsely, there is nothing worse than arriving at a location you’ve seen online or IG only to find it looks nothing like the photos! We use Adobe Lightroom which is available for both PC & Mac as well available in an app for your phone.

Sony A7C Mirrorless DSLR
2x DJI Osmo Action 4K Camera
DJI Mavic Air 2S Drone
DJI Osmo Mobile 2 Gimbal
iPhone 14 Pro
We capture the majority of our video vlog content using the DJI Osmo Action Cameras. They are a 4K Action camera pretty evenly matched up against the well known GoPro. Bonus is we can utilise the multitude of GoPro accessories because they share the same mounting system. We use a huge range of accessories from telescopic 'selfie sticks' to grip mounts, tripods and suction cup mounts.
Film from the sky! We have a DJI Mavic Air 2S drone that helps use get some pretty specky and amazing footage from the sky. Small and compact the Mavic Air 2S has a great sensor for high quality photos and video.
Another vote for phone technology! We use our iPhones also to capture 4k footage. With the aid of the DJI Osmo Mobile gimbal we can take smooth footage easily. The DJI Mimo app has a huge range of features that help get awesome footage!
Audio

Rode Wireless Go Microphone
Boya By-MM1 Shotgun Microphone
The hardest thing we’ve found about filming on the road is getting good audio. Because we’re not filming in a soundproof booth, we need to make sure we’re capturing good quality audio. We run the Rode Wireless Go Microphone. This setup allows us to get great audio straight from the receiver or by using a lavalier. We also use a Boya By-MM1 small shotgun mic which does a great job at capturing directional audio.
